This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

It applies to edjamon.com, our programs, internships, community, enquiries and any other service that links to this Policy. It should be read together with our Terms of Service. By using our website or services, or by giving us your information, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us. We collect the information you provide when you contact us, fill in a form, register, enrol or take part in a program. Depending on what you do, this may include:

• your name, phone number, email address and city;
• your education, college or company, skills, area of interest and career goals;
• the details you put in enquiry, registration and callback forms, and your messages to us;
• enrolment and payment details, such as the program, amount paid, transaction reference and invoice details;
• your resume, portfolio, project work, code, assignments, feedback and assessment results; and
• photos, videos, testimonials and reviews that you choose to share with us.

1.2 Information collected automatically. When you use our website, we may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent, referring pages and approximate location. This helps us keep the site working and understand how it is used.

1.3 Information from others. We may receive information about you from your college or university when it works with us, from payment providers confirming a payment, from people who refer you, and from public profiles such as LinkedIn when you share them with us.

1.4 What we do not want. We do not ask for sensitive details such as health information, caste, religion, political views, or passwords and full card numbers. Please do not send them to us. Payment card details are handled by our payment providers.

2. How we use your information

• answer your questions, call or message you about programs, and follow up on your enquiry;
• process your enrolment and payments, and send receipts and important updates;
• deliver programs and internships, including assigning mentors and projects, tracking progress and giving feedback;
• issue and verify experience letters and certificates;

• run our community and events;
• improve our website, programs and learning materials;
• share news, offers and updates about our programs, which you can opt out of at any time;
• keep our services secure, prevent misuse and fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service; and

3. Why we may use your information

3.1 Your consent. In most cases we use your information because you have given it to us for a specific purpose, for example by submitting a form or enrolling. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before, and it may mean we can no longer provide some services.

3.2 Providing our services. We may also use your information where it is needed to deliver a program you have enrolled in, to keep our records, or to comply with the law.

4. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

4.1 Service providers. Companies that help us run our services, such as payment providers, email and messaging tools, video and meeting platforms, cloud hosting, learning-platform and analytics tools. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.

4.2 Mentors and program staff. Mentors, trainers and team members who work with you in a program can see the information they need to guide you.

4.3 Colleges and partners. If you join through your college, university or another partner, we may share your attendance, progress and completion details with them, as agreed with that partner.

4.4 Employers and recruiters. We share your profile, resume or project work with employers or recruiters only with your consent, or when you apply for an opportunity through us.

4.5 Verification. If an employer or institution asks us to confirm that you completed a program or to verify a certificate, we may confirm the details printed on it.

4.6 Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if the law, a court or a government authority requires it, or if we need to protect the rights, safety or property of EdJAMON, our learners or others.

4.7 Business changes. If EdJAMON is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the new owner, who must continue to protect it under this Policy.

5. Cookies and third-party content

5.1 Cookies. Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use essential cookies to make our website work, and, where we use analytics or similar tools, cookies that help us understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

5.2 Embedded and linked content. Our website may include or link to content from other services, for example YouTube videos, Google Fonts and Google Maps, and links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. These services may collect information such as your IP address when your browser loads their content or when you click through. They follow their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.

6. Testimonials, photos and videos

We publish your name, photo, video, testimonial or project work on our website or social channels only with your consent. You can ask us to stop using them in future by emailing contact@edjamon.com. We will act on your request within a reasonable time, though we cannot always remove copies that others have already shared.

7. How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. These include access controls, secure connections and limiting access to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please protect your own password and tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.

8. How long we keep your information

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this Policy, or as the law requires. For example, enquiry details are kept long enough to respond and follow up, and enrolment and payment records are kept to meet accounting and legal needs. We keep a record of completed programs and certificates for as long as we need to verify them. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

9. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct or update information that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information when we no longer need it for a lawful purpose;

9.1 How to make a request. Email contact@edjamon.com from the address you used with us and tell us what you would like. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We will aim to reply within 30 days.

9.2 Marketing messages. Each promotional email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to stop calls or messages at any time. We may still send you important messages about your enrolment or account.

9.3 Limits. We may not be able to delete some information if we need it to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute or verify a certificate you were issued.

10. Children and young learners

Our programs are intended for people aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, you may take part only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who should read this Policy and our Terms of Service. If we learn that we hold a minor’s information without proper consent, we will delete it. A parent or guardian who has a concern can contact us at contact@edjamon.com.

11. Storage and transfers outside India

Some of our service providers, such as cloud, email or video platforms, may store or process information on servers outside India. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected in line with this Policy and applicable law.
